You come to a domestic house on the edge of town, and a rather distraught lady, sort of blinking back the tears, gets up - very polite, though - comes to the front door and is like, "Hello? Can I help you?"

History[]

Little is known of Jazzabelle's history prior to his encounter with Channing Taters, Gadai, McKenzie and Plank. At some point, she came to reside in Nippenbiddy. She has been pregnant at least once, resulting in triplets. When the triplets were six months old, they disappeared or were taken.

Characteristics[]

Jazzabelle is a very polite, mild-mannered and welcoming woman, despite her outbursts of grief from the very recent loss of her children. Unlike other residents, she does not seem to hold Channing Taters immediately responsible, and allows the four strangers to search her house in order to discover what has truly happened. She does not even take offence when Channing suggests aloud that the babies simply ran away because she was a bad mother.

It is unclear how much of the truth of Nippenbiddy's baby fighting she is aware of, but as the residents of the town seem to consider it an open secret it is very possible that she knows this is where her children are. While this would still paint her interactions with Channing positively, as she is not attempting to blame him for something that she knows he has not done, she is still concealing the truth from the party as they are investigating. It is likely that she has been entirely taken-in by the cultish level of devotion to the Barneydome within the town, as she does not ask for help or seek to leave even after the loss of her children.

Episode 10: Beyond Barneydome Part 1[]

Jazzabelle politely greets Channing Taters, Gadai, McKenzie and Plank as they visit her house searching for clues regarding the disappearances of her three children. She states that she has never seen Channing Taters before, nor any weredingledonger in their transformed form.  She explains to the group that the babies disappeared overnight, and that bones were found at the back door in the morning. She leads them to the children's room and watches while they investigate, fussing that she is perhaps being a less than ideal host. When they ask to view the bones, she agrees, but asks for a cloth to cry into. She agrees with McKenzie's suggestion to point them in the direction of the bones and withdraw herself, then at Channing Taters's suggestion cries instead into a nappy.

Trivia[]

  • The successful birth of triplets, and them surviving to six months, would in itself have been very impressive. There are very few reports of triplets surviving past birth prior to the twentieth century, due to the very high likelihood of preterm or very preterm birth and the increased risk to the other of breech birth or other complications.
