And you turn up to the edge of this town and there is a decrepit, decaying wooden sign that says "Gunnacarkit".
Luke, Episode 12: Spookaroo Special, The Haunted Bakery Part 1

Gunnacarkit is a town in Fantasy Western Australia. It is in an isolated area, and either due to its poverty and isolation or possible due to supernatural influences it is not listed on most or all mainstream maps. The economy of the town historically focused on the bakery owned by Solomon Brumby, and after Brumby's death the income of the town declined and it fell into moderate disrepair.

Most residents of the town are human, but it does have some non-human residents, including dwarves. It appears to have strong links to knowledge of fey creatures and the fey realm, including having at least one fey resident and having Brumby call on brownies to work for him at night.

Because Brumby was the major controller of wealth within the town, and because he had stolen the intellectual property, and thus the money, of a number of residents, after his death the town abruptly lost its economic drive. Many residents fell into poverty. In addition, Brumby either murdered or killed through negligence a number of his employees, leaving them without breadwinners as well as without the earnings from the inventions.

After Gadai, McKenzie and Plank retrieve the money from Solomon Brumby's bakery, Gadai ensures that it is returned to the residents of the town, so that it can be used to improve life and get the economy moving again.
